FOR A FILM FIX WATCH THIS: Lucy In The Sky

Starring Natalie Portman as astronaut Lucy Cola and Jon Hamm as her love interest, this film uncovers the true story of Lisa Nowak, who tried to kidnap a fellow Nasa colleague at Orlando airport. During the course of the film, Lucy slowly slides towards a breakdown after coming back to Earth and being struck by the meaninglessness of life. An eerie noir-style picture, the film challenges its audience with some of big questions – all wrapped up in a gripping crime story.

SEE ANCIENT ART HERE: British Museum

Even if you’re not an expert on Greek mythology, you’re bound to have heard of the legend of Troy. This ancient city, which has sparked debate for thousands of years, is now the centre of an exhibition at the British Museum. You can see a range of different artworks from ancient sculptures and paintings to more contemporary designs and even archaeological findings to support the claim that Troy did indeed exist. An incredible display for a fascinating story.

TRY SOMETHING NEW HERE: Great Scotland Yard Hotel 

Opening this week in Westminster’s old police HQ, Great Scotland Yard hotel features a restaurant set up by the people behind The Dairy. The new restaurant, aptly named The Yard and with its own in-house butchery and bakery, brings diners the best of British produce in a menu of seasonal dishes. If the food at The Dairy is anything to go by, this ought to be worth a visit.
